Being the only mountain destination to be included in the voting for the "Eight Pure Destinations in China" award, Wudang Mountains have won the title, thanks to the unique charm, beautiful scenery, fresh air and rich Taoist culture.

Wudang Mountains, located in the northwest of Hubei province, are perhaps the most well-known among China's Taoist holy mountains. The mountains re also a national AAAAA-level scenic area and were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. Wudang Mountains area is said to be the birthplace of both the Taoist culture and Wudang kung fu.

The mountains have several main tourist attractions, covering an area of 300 square kilometers. From afar, the scenery resembles a beautiful, traditional Chinese landscape painting. Wudang Mountains are also famous for their harmonious combination of natural beauty and cultural scenery, as well as being renowned for the magnificent ancient buildings.
