Shiyan Municipal Party secretary investigates in Wudang

A delegation led by Zhou Ji, Party secretary of the Shiyan municipal committee, investigated the Wudang Tourism Economic Zone of Shiiyan, Hubei province, regarding the zone’s ecological cultural tourism on Dec 19.

Accompanied by Wu Zehua, secretary of the Shiyan disciplinary committee; He Shengyou, secretary-general of Shiyan; and Li Faping, vice-mayor of Shiyan, Zhou inspected the Wudang Mountains wharf, Tai Chi Lake, Wudang Laozi (founder of Taoism) Museum and Wudang International Martial Arts School.

When visiting Wudang Laozi Museum, which was still under construction, Zhou extended his warm greetings to the workers, encouraged them to learn the spirit of Taoist ideas, and stressed the importance of safe and high-quality construction.

In the Wudang International Martial Arts School, Zhou enjoyed martial arts performance by students and encouraged them to practice hard to popularize martial arts. The school was expected to strengthen education quality and cultivate more excellent talents.

Based on the natural, human and cultural resources, Wudang should combine ecological protection with tourism development and strive for a world-famous tourist attraction, according to Zhou.
