Wudang Taoist tea ranks in top three agricultural products

Wudang's Taoist tea of Shiyan city, Hubei province, ranked third among agricultural products around the country with its brand value topping 4.07 billion yuan ($663.6 million), according to China Central Television (CCTV) on Dec 12.

By popularizing the Wudang Taoist tea brand, the city government has pushed forward the improvement of tea quality. The tea has won a string of recognitions, such as "Top Tea of Hubei Province", "2012 Top 100 Regional Brands of Chinese Agricultural Products" and "Chinese Best Cultural Tea". It was also listed in the National Protection of Geographical Indications.
