To popularize the concept of safe and scientific outdoor activities and enrich Wudang tourism, the first Wudang (China) Martial Art Cultural Festival was held in the Wudang Mountains in Shiyan, Hubei province, from Nov 28 to 30. Over 2,000 tour pals from 10 provinces took part and enjoyed the beautiful Wudang scenery. They also experienced the shooting of a costume drama, sailing and camping.

The participants got a chance to appreciate the beautiful scenery, learn about Taoist culture and taste local food. They also shared some photos of the festival through WeChat so more people could know about the spirit of Wudang and outdoor activities.

During the festival, the Chinese Alliance for Outdoors and Exploration signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Wudang Mountains scenic spots and Taichi Lake scenic spots.

The first Wudang (China) Martial Art Cultural Festival was launched on Aug 8, 2014, and the second will be held in October 2015.
