Wudang's Xuan Wu statue brings luck to Wudang and Taiwan

The 600-year-old statue of Xuan Wu, one of the highest-ranking Taoist deities, from the Wudang Mountains in Hubei province started a tour around Taiwan on Oct 14.

On Oct 14, a light resembling Buddha formed around Tianzhu Peak, one of the most distinctive landmarks in the Wudang Mountains. It was reported that the light appeared several times in Wudang during Xuan Wu's tour in Taiwan.

In addition, the sun and moon shone together in the sky when Xuan Wu started to visit Taiwan. The splendid scenery was believed to be a symbol of fortune and prosperity.

Xuan Wu's statue also brought luck to Taiwan people. The island that used to be cloudy and rainy basked in bright sunlight thanks to the statue's arrival. On Oct 29, the sun and moon appeared together in the sky in Taiwan when Xuan Wu visited Shouzhen Temple in Alishan Mountain.
