Wudang Mountains join First Sichuan International Travel Expo

Wudang Mountains scenic spot attended the First Sichuan International Travel Expo, held in Emeishan city, Southwest China’s Sichuan province. The fair lasted three days from Sept 27-29 and attracted more than 500,000 visitors.

Wudang Mountains came as the only representative of Hubei province and enjoyed a stand-alone pavilion of 73 square meters in the expo. Its innovative exhibition arrangement and breathtaking pictures on display drew great attention from counterparts, audiences and media.

The Wudang Mountains tourism administration made travel services investigation a focus and visited dozens of travel agencies such as the Chinese Youth Travel Service, Sichuan China International Travel Service (CITS), and Mount Emei CITS, exchanging opinions on the tourism market and industry trends.

On the first day of the expo, staff members in Wudang Mountains pavilion handed out over 5,000 brochures and answered tourism questions from around 10,000 visitors.

The Sichuan International Travel Expo will settle in Emeishan city permanently. It aims to accelerate the marketization, internalization and industrialization of the Sichuan tourism market and to promote its popularity and competitiveness as an international travel destination.

Some other activities such as the Emei Travel Forum on the new trend of global travel development and Sichuan Tourism Recommendation Fair were also held during the expo.
