Wudang specialties win two golden awards

The Wudang specialty package, and “palace flowers,” another specialty from Shiyan city, have recently won two golden awards, the Premium Eco-Food and Healthy Food awards, at the 14th Canton Fair and the eighth China High-End Food and Beverage Expo.

The Wudang specialty package, produced by Hubei Country Food Co under the brand of Happy Families, has already applied for a patent. There are three types of packages for the market -- the business package, the wealth package and the health package -- containing various natural foods such as black fungus, noodles made from the roots of kudzu, and Jiaogulan tea made from Gynostemma pentaphyllum, a medicinal plant.

A principal of the company said that they are aiming at providing healthy food to more people and more families, and to help people get to know Wudang better through its products.
