Martial arts academy to enroll 300 students

The Wudang International Martial Arts Academy was officially established on April 30, and it plans to enroll 300 students this fall, wudangshan.gov.cn reported.

The martial arts academy is affiliated with the Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, and graduates will receive a diploma from the institute when they qualify for examinations and assessments.

Offering bachelor’s degrees and junior college diplomas, Wudang martial arts academy has majors featuring Wudang culture, such as Wudang kung fu, Taoist culture, Taoist music and Taoist medicine.

Some general and management majors are also offered. So far, infrastructure for the martial arts academy’s first phase has been completed, and related teaching facilities will be set up by July 20.
