Wudang airport to be completed this year

The airport for Wudang Mountains in Shiyan city, Hubei province, is under construction, and the project will be completed this year, according to local authorities, wudangshan.gov.cn reported on March 26.

There are four civil airports in Hubei: Wuhan Tianhe, Yichang, Xiangyang and Enshi. Nine more airports are planned in Wuhan, Shiyan, Shennongjia, Jingzhou, East Hubei, Jingmen, Suizhou, Chibi and Tianmen.

The 13 airports will greatly contribute to the development of Hubei’s tourism industry and economic development.

The Wudang Mountains Airport project started last year, and is expected to open in 2015.
