Wudang officials visit villages ahead of Spring Festival

Officials of the Wudang Tourism and Economy Special Region, including Ma Xiaoli, director of the land and resources bureau of Wudang special region, visited the villages of Wafanghe and Jinshaping on Jan 20, and brought rice, flour, cooking oil and condolence payments worth a total of 10,000 yuan ($1,652) to low-income residents ahead of the Chinese New Year festivities, chinawudang.com reported on Jan 22.

The officials chatted with some of the villagers about their health and daily lives, and they also asked the village cadres to take care of the residents and make sure that they enjoy the Spring Festival celebrations.
