Shiyan city in central China’s Hubei province recently signed cooperation agreements with six tourist attractions, in Yichang city, Shennongjia in Hubei and Nanyang in Henan province, that will allow tourists to enjoy discounts with a travel card, hubeitour.gov.cn, the official website of Hubei Provincial Bureau of Tourism, reported on Jan 2.

Shiyan Municipal Bureau of Tourism is cooperating with four scenic spots in Shennongjia, with the aim of promoting the development of the scenic spots and to share the achievements of the tourism industry with the public, and the two sides will open a winter tourist route which involves skiing, hot springs and the kung fu show “Fantasy Wudang”.

Apart from the agreements with Xiangyan Temple and Zuochan Valley scenic spots in Nanyang city, Shiyan has also reached a verbal agreement with Yichang Three Gorges Cruise Co Ltd, that will allow tourists from Shiyan who hold the special travel card to join tour groups and enjoy discounts in Shennongjia and the Three Gorges.

In 2012, the city signed similar agreements with scenic spots in Zaoyang city in Hubei, including Tangzi Mountain, Baishui Temple, Baizhuyuan Temple, as well as the Shennong Valley drifting scenic spot in Xiangyang city.

Shiyan already has cooperation agreements with ten scenic spots in other cities or provinces involving travel cards concerning discounts ranging from 30 to 58 percent.
