Wudang signs cooperation agreement with Louguan

Wudang Mountain Tourism and Economy Special Region signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Xi'an Qujiang Louguan Chinese Taoism Culture Exhibition Area, Shaanxi province, during a seminar focusing on Taoism cultural tourism held on Aug 22, wudangshan.gov.cn reported.

Li Faping, director of the Wudang Mountains management committee, attended the seminar and gave a presentation about the resources and development of tourism at Wudang Mountains, and he welcomed the management office of Xi'an Qujiang Louguan exhibition area to invest in Wudang Mountains.

Li said that Taoism is one of the sources of Eastern philosophy, and the Taoist culture of Wudang Mountains and Louguan is of the same origin.

He also said he hopes both sides would make efforts to spread Taoist culture and promote the development of cultural tourism.

Ning Jianjun, general manager of Qujiang Louguan exhibition area management company, spoke about the area's development and said that it takes less than four hours to drive from Xi'an to Wudang Mountains. He also said he hopes the two sides would deepen mutual understanding so as to enhance their cooperation.
