Third, new economic growth points will be cultivated. Apart from optimizing the investment environment, Wudang will also attach great importance to attracting investment from large financial groups, listed companies, foreign enterprises and high-tech industries.

Fourth, the ecological construction of Wudang will be highlighted. Tourist attractions will make good use of water and mountain resources, promoting the construction of green belts and eco-forests around Tai Chi Lake.

The development of the Wudang Mountain Tourism and Economy Special Region has been greatly pushed thanks to these efforts.

In the first half of 2013, Wudang received 2.56 million tourists and realized a total tourism income of 1.42 billion yuan ($231.7 million), a year-on-year increase of 19.19 percent and 10.31 percent, respectively.
