CEO of Taiwan enterprise visits Wudang Mountain

Lin Cangsheng, CEO of Taiwan’s Uni-President Enterprise Corp., visited Wudang Mountain Tourism Economic Zone and his tour on July 2 included the Tai Chi Lake New Area and the planning museum of Wudang Mountains.

Li Faping, director of the Wudang Mountains management committee, gave an introduction to the eco-cultural tourism project of Tai Chi Lake. He also said that Wudang Mountain is the best mountain to worship Emperor Xuan Wu, the god worshipped by mainland Chinese and also the people of Taiwan, and it receives a large number of Taiwan visitors every year.

Li added that Lin’s visit also offers a good opportunity for business communication and that he hoped that the top-class Taoist organic tea cultivated in the unique climate of the Wudang Mountains and the abundant, high-quality water resources of Tai Chi Lake would offer new business opportunities for Uni-President.

Later in the day, Zhou Ji, Secretary of the Shiyan Municipal Committee, described the city’s resources, locational advantages, favorable conditions for development and also its socio-economic situation.

Lin said that the city’s development plan, pleasant environment, and the historical and cultural heritage of the Wudang Mountains are certainly impressive, and added that he is aiming to develop the company’s market share in western China, and looks forward to gaining further understanding of this area and its special products.

Background information

Uni-President Enterprises Corporation is an international food conglomerate based in Tainan, Taiwan. It is one of the largest food production companies in Taiwan as well as Asia, and has a significant market share for dairy products, snacks, and beverages.
