The crew of a CCTV program, Foreigners in China, traveled to Wudang Mountain, in central China’s Hubei province, to shoot the foreign apprentices there on May 8.

An American man, Jeff, who is learning kung fu on Wudang, was chosen to take a leading role in the show. Jeff developed a strong interest in Tai Chi after reading Tao Te Ching, written by Lao Zi, and he decided to travel to Wudang to learn kung fu.

With its stories of overseas nationals living in China, the CCTV program aims to promote communication between China and other countries. Last year, Foreigners in China featured the story of Linyuan, a 28-year-old Norwegian who waslearning kung fu on Wudang Mountain.

In recent years, Kung Fu Mission of Wudang Mountain has performed in over 30 countries and districts including the US, Britain, France and Italy.
