The Legend of Zhang Sanfeng shoots in Wudang

Pre-production for the 30-episode TV series The Legend of Zhang Sanfeng began officially on April 10.

The series is adapted from the novel of the same name written by Ouyang Xuezhong, a member of the Chinese Writers Association and former chairman of the Shiyan Literary Federation.

The Legend of Zhang Sanfeng plans to shoot in the Wudang Mountains for four months beginning September. It will air in August 2014. The series is produced by Wudang Tourist and Economic Zone, Beijing Shengshi Huarui Films Investment Co and Bosheng Jinqiu Film Culture Company.

Gao Jun, who invested in the films Painted Skin and Ip Man, will take part in the production of The Legend of Zhang Sanfeng.

Currently, the TV series is in pre-production, developing the script, signing actors and preparing for photography.
