Hubei travel agencies received more visitors from Taiwan than usual during the Spring Festival holiday. The Three Gorges Dam and the Wudang Mountains were the most popular scenic spots.

Hubei Oriental International Travel Agency sent tour groups from Taiwan to Wudang and the Three Gorges Dam every day from Feb 10 to 16. Hubei Jiacheng International Travel Agency and Jinqiao Holiday Travel Agency also received nearly 300 Taiwan visitors since Feb 10, most of which headed to the Three Gorges Dam and the Wudang Mountains.

In Taiwan, the famous Liontravel Service Company launched travel products to the Chinese mainland such as tours to the Three Gorges Dam, ZhangJiaJie National Park, the Wudang Mountains, Xi'an, and well-known buildings in cities in Hunan and Hubei.

Zhou Yuzhi, principal of the Wuhan office of Taiwan China Airlines, said flights from Taipei to Wuhan reached over 95 percent capacity during Spring Festival. The seating capacity of each flight is over 300. Most of the fliers came in groups of two to five people, suggesting that they were DIY travelers such as couples or families.
