New edition of Wudang guidebook hits stores

The Guidebook to the Best of the Wudang Mountains was republished by SinoMaps Press and Surveying and Mapping Press on Jan 20. The printed copies totaled 10,500 and were printed on A4 paper.

The new version includes new areas in Wudang, including scenic spots such as the Geological Museum of Wudang, Taichi Lake Harbor, Taichi Lake, Laocius Park, Egret Island and Longshan Pagoda. It also includes activities like the Taichi-Wudang Music Show, yacht weddings and water bicycles.

The book mentions the renovation of Yuxu Palace and Wulong Palace as well as the elevation of Yuzhen Palace. The Wudang Mountains International Martial Arts Exchange Center, Taichi Theater, and Development Center of Wudang Tourism in Taichi Lake Zone were added to the books map. It further updates transportation, shopping, accommodation and ticket information.

The book has five sections: overview of the Wudang Mountains, scenic spots of Wudang, places around Wudang, stories about Wudang and a Wudang guide.

The guidebook was first published by SinoMaps Press in May 2005 and reprinted in May 2009 with a total of over 30,000 copies.
