Wudang culture is broad, extensive and penetrated with diverse art forms. Its influence has been expanded thanks to national activities held there.

Wudang culture involves various aspects such as the history, theology and architecture of Taoism; literature; folk customs; martial arts; and medicine.

The time-honored and widespread folk culture, an important part of Wudang culture, has formed various kinds of folk customs such as mountain gong and drum music, ballad songs, storytelling and opera, and traditional custom performances. Traditional performances are rich and diverse, including lion and dragon dances, big head-model doll dances, yangko dance, drum dance, and folk drum and gong music.

These traditional performances have entertained domestic and foreign visitors during events like the third and fourth World Traditional Wushu Championships, the ninth National Photography Festival, the National Village Heads Forum, and the Wudang 600 Years Centennial Celebration. Wudang culture has grown and expanded thanks to these dazzling, impressive performances.
