Shiyan city to open Shiyan-Wudang bus line

The Shiyan-Yunxian county bus line, the first intercity bus line in Shiyan, was opened on Oct 20, 2012. Ticket prices were lowered to 3 yuan (50 cents). Local residents are looking forward to the opening of the Shiyan-Wudang bus line in 2013.

Residents from 45 percent of the areashe within 20 kilometers around the Wudang Mountains can take buses. At least one city-to-village passenger route has been modified into a bus line in each county and city.

Shiyan is promoting tourism transportation with great effort. It is striving to open one to two trans-provincial tourism routes and speed up the transformation of passenger lines, including the Shiyan-Wuhan and Shiyan-Xiangyang bus lines.
