The stone-laying ceremony for the Wulong "Five Dragons" Palace scenic spot was held on July 25 in Shiyan city, Hubei province. Shen Xueqiang, the vice mayor of Shiyan, and other officials of the Wudang special administration region attended the ceremony.

As the first ancient architectural complex in Wudang Mountain, Wulong Palace was built in the Tang Dynasty (AD 618–907) and was extended in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368–1644). It perfectly combined natural landscape with Taoism and local customs.

Over the 600 years of Wudang Mountain's development, the development project of the Wulong Palace scenic spot is one of the most important. The project intends to construct a cableway (connecting Wulong and South Rock), a tourists' center and a tour path. The construction of the Wulong Palace scenic spot will promote the development of the western tourism area of Wudang Mountain.
