Mount Wudang local authority is carrying out a project of going to the world with martial arts through exploring Wudang martial arts, an intangible cultural heritage. It has set up three martial arts performance troupes to promote Wudang martial arts in 30 countries and regions.

The local authority is cultivating and supporting inheritors of Wudang martial arts to run schools and pass on martial arts. So far, 1,067 overseas students, including those from the United States, Britain, France, Germany and Australia, have studied in Mount Wudang. The martial arts schools have 1,553 students on average each year.

Each year, the local authority sponsors the Wudang Taijiquan world convention to exchange and promote Wudang martial arts with thousands of fans from nearly 100 countries.
