They were accompanied by several state and local officials and after discussed the Cross-Straits Cultural Exchange Forum.

Taoist culture has not only influenced the people living in the Chinese mainland but also the ones in Taiwan province. Since the recent increase of Cross-Straits cultural exchanges, the activities celebrating Wudang Taoism and Wudang culture have also gone up.

In October 2011, Wudang Mountain was honored as a "Cross-Straits Exchange Base" by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council PRC and Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits. The visiting will play a positive role in promoting Wudang culture and strengthening Cross-Straits cultural exchanges.
