The Shiyan Technical Institute first Sakura Festival opens

On April 13, the initiation ceremony of the cultural tour of the Higher Education Park in the Maojian district of Shiyan city and the opening ceremony of the first Sakura Festival of the Shiyan Technical Institute were held.

The event is jointly hosted by the people's government of the Maojian district and the Shiyan Technical Institute. It consists of eight activities, including the opening ceremony, Sakura Beauty Selection, Sakura Appreciation Poets Meeting, College-enterprise Cooperation, Higher Education Park Sports Meeting, Shiyan Tour Guide Contest, achievement exhibition, and photo-taking contest.

At the opening ceremony, performances had an added tone of romance. In the sakura woods, sakura trees bloom and the flowers are as white as snow. Many citizens have come to enjoy the beauty of the flowers and take pictures with them. The blooming period of sakura lasts until about April 20. The citizens can go to appreciate the flowers for free.

Over 10,000 people attended the opening ceremony, including the major officials of Hubei University of Medicine, Hubei University of Automotive Technology, Yunyang Teachers' College, Shiyan Technical Institute, the government officials of Shiyan city, the officials of Maojian district, the teachers and students from the colleges and universities, and people from all walks of life.
