The expansion and reconstruction of the railway stations of Wu Dang Mountain and in Shiyan, Hubei province has just started. The project will receive 300 million yuan in funding, which is scheduled for completion within 2 years.

Reconstruction will be launched based on the former structure of the station. The new station would expand by 2,000 sq. m. in size, which could benefit citizens and tourists.

The railway stations were built in the 1970s. Most facilities are in poor conditions; ticket offices, waiting rooms and the station squares are too narrow. In February this year, a corresponding reconstruction scheme has been made after several discussions with the Wuhan Railway Administration and Shiyan government.
