Pray for blessings in Wudang

A large prayer activity held by the tourism bureau of Wudang economic zone will kick off in Wudang.

The organizing committee has gathered nearly 100,000 participants from 12 cities in Hubei, Henan and Shaanxi provinces.

A group of 999 participants will be sent to Wudang on Dec 17 as an advanced troop. The activity will last from December 2011 to March 2012.

Wudang in ancient time was a royal site for Taoism practices. It is believed that the prayers would be blessed and granted with good luck for the whole year.

The master of Purple Heaven Palace will hold a gala on Dec 18 to pray for blessings for the visitors.
