Mount Wutai Buddhist music legacy

The Baoguang Temple on Mount Wutai, Shanxi province has a great musical legacy that has been passed down for hundreds of years. China still has an estimated 134 pieces of this classical Buddhist music and the temple contains 78 of them. So, a group of journalists from wutaishan.city.sohu.com, an online travel information website, visited the temple to follow some 1,000-year-old pieces, on June 7, and got to see a band of seven monks making music with traditional Chinese instruments.
