Mongu-Kalabo Highway known as the most beautiful road

The Mongu-Kalabo Highway, known as the most beautiful water highway in Africa, is located about 600 kilometers west of Lusaka, the capital of Zambia.

It is POWERCHINA's first project in Zambia and the best place for viewing the sunset of the Zambezi River, drawing visitors from all over the world.

The highway is the only way for the Western Province of Zambia to trade with neighboring Angola. It has solved the problem of flooding and road blockage during the rainy season, as well as stimulated the development of local transportation and import and export trade.

The success of the project verified what the former Vice-president of Zambia Lupando Mwape said, "The success of Chinese companies is a very correct choice for us."

Several Zambia's national media outlets praised the project for its economic benefits and POWERCHINA's excellent working ability, including Zambia's largest newspaper, Zambia Daily Mail and Zambia's National Television.

Following the philosophy of China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), POWERCHINA is actively developing its market in Zambia.
