Technological innovation drives POWERCHINA

POWERCHINA has won hundreds of national engineering awards throughout the 40 years of reform and opening-up.

It currently has six national-level research and development institutions, 76 provincial-level research and development institutions, eight academic workstations, and six postdoctoral centers.

A total of 80 member enterprises and POWERCHINA-affiliated subsidiaries have been recognized as national high-tech enterprises. It has won more than 100 national science and technology awards and nearly 2,000 provincial science and technology awards.

By the end of 2017, POWERCHINA had won 86 Luban Prizes for Construction Projects, 44 National Quality Engineering Golden Awards, 146 National Quality Engineering Awards, 22 Tien-yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prizes, 25 China Quality Water Engineering Awards, and 150 National Quality Engineering and Consulting Awards.

POWERCHINA possesses world-class engineering and construction capabilities and is a global leader in dam construction technology.

It makes use of world-leading technology related to electrical and mechanical installation and construction in hydropower stations, high-grade railway construction, urban railway construction, foundational treatment, underground cavern construction, reinforcement of rocky slopes, and gravel preparation for engineering and construction.

POWERCHINA's 3D digital designs are global leaders, and it has built a 3D collaborative design platform for hydraulic engineering, hydropower, municipal transportation, wind power, and more.
