POWERCHINA launches strategic co-op with ADANI
Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA), the world's largest power engineering contractor, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) of strategic cooperation with India's Adani Group in Beijing on April 24.

The parties also agreed to work jointly in the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Godda Project—a coal-fired power plant comprising two power units (2x800MW) in the Godda district of Jharkhand, India.

Yan Zhiyong, chairman of POWERCHINA, delivered a keynote speech at the signing ceremony.
"On the basis of the MoU and Godda Project, POWERCHINA will work together with ADANI to construct the Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar economic corridor," said Yan in his speech.
