Sun Hongshui meets Austrian chancellor

Sun Hongshui, general-manager of POWERCHINA was invited to attend a signing ceremony between Chinese and Austrian enterprises, during which he held a meeting with Austrian chancellor Sebastian Kurz in Beijing on April 8.

The meeting was held before the signing ceremony, which also facilitated the cooperation of POWERCHINA and Austria's Andritz Group, a world-leading equipment supplier and service provider for hydropower stations.

Noting the international business of POWERCHINA, Sun said that as a global conglomerate involved in construction and investment of energy, electricity, water resources and environment, infrastructure projects, POWERCHINA has projects in 115 countries and regions.

Sun also expressed his confidence in the cooperation with Andritz Group, since POWERCHINA has cooperated well and established deep friendship with Austrian enterprises.

Kurz thanked POWERCHINA for their contribution to his country and was pleased to witness the cooperation between Austrian enterprise and POWERCHINA.

He said that there is a huge cooperation potential for the two sides, since both are leaders in their respective field, and they look forward to more exchange and cooperation in the future.

Sun also exchanged views on cooperation with Wolfgang Leitner, CEO of Andritz Group at the meeting.

The signing ceremony of the two companies was also witnessed by Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, who attended the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2018 during his state visit to China.
