POWERCHINA promoted at 8th World Water Forum

POWERCHINA was invited to attend the 8th World Water Forum & World Water Expo being held in Brasilia, Brazil from March 18 to 23.

As a Chinese water conservation delegate, POWERCHINA has further promoted its brand around the world, showcasing its expertise and achievements on water conservancy and water environment improvement.

The forum, themed "Sharing Water", brought together more than 10,000 participants from across the world, including presidents and government heads of 15 countries, government and parliament officials from 170 countries and regions and representatives of 1,500 institutions and enterprises.

The Chinese attendees included the Ministry of Water Resources, POWERCHINA, China Three Gorges Corp, the China Institute of Water Resources and the Hydropower Research and Changjiang Institute of Survey, Planning, Design and Research.

During the six-day expo, POWERCHINA presented its business capability, global layout, success in water conservation and achievements in South America, especially in Brazil, via promotional meetings, promo-videos and posters.

In addition to luring flocks of visitors, POWERCHINA's booth attracted attention from media outlets, including some local offices and Xinhua News Agency. Zhou Xuewen, vice-minister of the Ministry of Water Resources, also visited the booth and communicated with POWERCHINA staff. Zhou praised the company for its contribution to South America, and especially to Brazil's market.

The World Water Forum, organized every three years by the World Water Council (WWC) together with the respective host country and city, is the world's biggest water-related event. It aims to trigger action on critical water issues and sustainable development, as well as strengthen communication and cooperation between countries on sustainable utilization of water resources.
