According to the Guizhou Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Guizhou province will provide a fund of 15 million yuan ($2.17 million) for each county (20 million yuan for Weining autonomous county) in deep poverty to renovate dilapidated houses.
Aiming to fill the funding gap in dilapidated house renovations in rural areas, the housing and urban-rural development departments in Guizhou will start a three-month review of the fund management, policy implementation, and targeted poverty alleviation efforts in villages.
In addition, Guizhou will check the dilapidated house renovations and affordable housing levels in every county from June to the end of the year to assess poverty alleviation efforts in the province.
