Tech giants give thumbs up for Guizhou

The 13th National People's Congress is underway in Beijing and southwest China's Guizhou province was praised many times by several tech giants at the sixth panel delegation's discussion on March 10. Here's a look at what they said:

Luo Peng, CEO of Huochebang

Huochebang is China's Uber-type service for trucks and is headquartered in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province.

It's Huochebang's responsibility to help all grassroots labor workers by taking advantage of data, Luo said.

Huo Tao, chairman of Guizhou-based BaishanCloud Technology Co

"Guizhou is colorful for its stunning natural views in the past and in the future, it will shine more for its high development of its data industry." He also called for more young entrepreneurs to come to Guizhou to start their business.

Chen Gang, co-founder of Mafengwo, a Chinese travel website

"Guizhou boasts big mountains, big waterfalls, and big data. And I love this place."

Chai Ke, CEO of Dayima, a menstruation management app

"Only by using big data in the health industry, can the future be more intelligent. Those smart findings will provide important resources for medical health development in the future."

Huang Jin, CEO of Beijing KNET Eqxiu Technology Co

"There is Silicon Valley in the United States and there is Data Valley in China. Guizhou is on the way to developing a Data Valley."

Xi Weihang, vice-president of Ctrip

"I have faith that Guizhou will become an international Data Valley."
