Over the past year, Southwest China's Guizhou province has achieved sustainable development in big data and its digital economy, and is becoming a key part of the strategic layout of the big data industry in China, said Chen Shaobo, deputy to the 13th National People's Congress (NPC).
Guizhou's big data industry attracted the attention of the entire country when it began integrating with other industries. The province is the pilot area for national public resource opening, e-government, health and medical big data, intelligent broadcasting and television, and the innovation of big data technical standards.
Around 30 companies and projects were involved in the national big data pilot and demonstration projects, suggesting that Guizhou's big data industry is developing at a national level.
Around 1,625 companies achieved fusion development with big data last year, which has led the growth rate of employment in the big data industry in Guizhou to be the highest in China for three consecutive years.
