Wei Shuwang, a deputy to the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) and mayor of Zunyi, Guizhou province spoke for Zunyi at the first press conference of Guizhou delegation to the annual two sessions held in Beijing on March 5.

Zunyi has a suitable natural environment for growing green agricultural products. It has an altitude of 800 to 1,200 meters, an average annual temperature of 15 C, and an average annual relative humidity of 82 percent.
In barren hills and gentle slopes, Zunyi has been vigorously developing its Sichuan pepper, tea and bamboo industries, while developing vegetable, pepper, and red sorghum industries in dam areas, cultivated land, and fertile fields, said Wei.

By 2018, efficient economic crop planting systems had been implemented in more than 90 percent of rural areas throughout the city.
