Managing elevator use is one of the concerns of Wei Dingmei, a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee and deputy mayor of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
At the first session of the 13th CPPCC National Committee in March 2018, Wei presented a proposal on the management of elevator use in residential areas.
Compared with last year's proposal, Wei's new proposal focuses on more specific issues.
Wei proposes "incorporating elevator safety supervision into the general system for elevator management," "employing full-time elevator safety management personnel," and "introducing an elevator insurance fund".
In addition to proposals to further strengthen elevator use management, Wei also focuses on the improvement for medical service management, online standards for catering food, real estate registration and the protection of cultural relics in institutional reforms.
Wei has written relevant proposals on the above issues to prepare for the second session of the 13th CPPCC National Committee.
