Yu Liufen: developing the rural economy

Updated: 2019-03-01

Yu Liufen, a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, hails from Yanbo village, Liupanshui city, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Yu, who is known as the "Reform Pioneer", successfully carried out her duties in 2018, focusing on small and micro enterprises, rural revitalization, and rural infrastructure.

Yu turned her attention to Yanbo village – her hometown. She said that "there are no problems with the village's roads, water, or electricity, but with the development of society and the increasing popularity of the internet, network infrastructure has become more important."

After careful consideration, Yu's "Proposal on the Rural Revitalization Strategy as a Guideline for Strengthening the Rural Information Network Infrastructure" has gradually begun taking shape.

She also plans to submit proposals to crackdown on counterfeiting and protect the intellectual property rights of small and medium-sized enterprises.
