Recently, the official website of the Guiyang Public Resource Trading Center released detailed plans for Shubo Avenue (Shubo means Big Data Expo in Chinese) in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province. The avenue has a procurement budget of 13.5 million yuan ($1.96 million).

This is the first time Guiyang has made an announcement about work on the avenue since Aug 9, when the city held a related work conference.

On Nov 15, the official website of the Guizhou provincial government announced that it needed a three-dimensional model of Shubo Avenue.

Public documents show that the road will be south of Beijing West Road, north of Qingshan Road, and along Changling South Road and Changling North Road, with a total area of 74.56 square kilometers and a total length of about 20 km.

Last August, a construction plan was proposed during a special meeting on Shubo Avenue, which suggested spending three years constructing the core area of the avenue.

Since 2015, Guiyang has successfully hosted the big data expo four times, and the big data industry has entered a new stage of strong development.

Based on the plans, the core area of the avenue seems to sit mainly in Guanshanhu district, which is expected to help improve the city's productivity.

The avenue will be focused on industries, innovation, ecology, displays, experiences and intelligence, with the aim of building Guiyang into a big data financial city, big data industrial city, big data health city and big data intelligent experience city.

Shubo Avenue will connect with People's Avenue to form a "dual core" of Guiyang (two urban areas along with the Guanshanhu district), which will lay a solid foundation for Guiyang's future development plan.
