During the holidays, a carnival held at the Yunman Lake ecological park offered international acrobatic troupe performances, a circus and a food festival. Travellers were also able to enjoy farmyard fun, eating fresh food and experiencing farm work in a local village.

Local security checks were organized by the Guian New Area tourism development center, local government sectors and scenic area management. Projects and events were checked to ensure they provided safe environments, fire protection, geological disaster prevention and food safety. As of October 7, there were neither complaints from tourists nor news of any incidents received by Guian New Area authorities.
