The AW119 helicopter will provide professional emergency medical service for patients within the 250-kilometer radius of the area, a service offered by Shanghai Jinhui General Aviation Company.

The helicopter is equipped with first aid equipment such as stretchers, respirators, aspirators, defibrillation monitors and injection pumps. The flight allows two medical personnel to go and help.

The Shanghai Jinhui General Aviation Company and People's Insurance Company of China (PICC) opened the aerial first aid system in Guizhou province on Aug 6. As of now, four hospitals respectively in Guiyang, Zunyi, Liupanshui and Kaili have been included in the service.

Patients can call 400 9120 999 for aerial first aid. Members can enjoy unlimited free first aid for 365 yuan ($52.08) per year, while non-members need to pay between 200,000 to 400,000 yuan for one time service, calculated by flight time and flight distance.
