The 2017 Most Popular Tourist Destinations of Guizhou among Netizens was released on March 29, with 30 scenic zones, tourist agents and hotels being listed.

The campaign to select the most popular tourist destinations began on September 1, 2017 on various online platforms and has attracted more than 48.6 million votes on 179 star resorts, 263 tourist hotels and 286 travel agencies.

Netizens became aware of the campaign through extensive media publicity, tourist service posters, QR codes, and interactive netizen voting.

The organizing committee of the campaign short-listed 60 companies for experts' review by November 30, 2017. Top 10 lists were subsequently finalized in three major categories - tourist attractions, star hotels and tourist agencies.

Wang Wenxue, deputy director of the Guizhou Tourism Development Commission, said that the list demonstrated the achievements of tourism services in Guizhou and the province's successful development of its "Satisfying Tourism" project in 2017.

Wang urged tourist companies to make the most of Guizhou's blooming tourism industry to build Guizhou into an international tourist destination and a popular mountain tourism province.

The 2017 Top 10 Tourist Attractions of Guizhou among Netizens includes Huangguoshu Waterfall in Anshun city, Qingyan Ancient Town, Dragon Palace Scenic Spot, Wanfeng Forest and Fanjing Mountain.
