I don't think humans will be surpassed by computers or controlled by artificial intelligence. Data is not everything, but a kind of fuel or energy in the new age. After all, it's the technology that pushes the society forward, but not the energy. In the future, appliances will communicate with their own languages so that people won't have to learn how to use tools.
