To welcome the Lantern Festival, the 15th day of the Chinese New Year, members of the world-famous Miao ethnic group from Guizhou’s Congjiang county gathered together to perform folk dances on Feb 7 .

Miao traditional folk dances are usually accompanied by lusheng music which is played on bamboo reed pipes.

On Lantern Festival day, Miao people don traditional costumes and dance in a circle. The traditional dances are always popular with Chinese and foreign tourists.
