Students and teachers from Xingyi No 1 Middle School in Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture held a party in front of a campfire on Dec 31 to celebrate the New Year.
Some parents also took part in the party, increasing the number of participants to more than 3,000. On the night, people joined hands and danced, circling the 10-meter-high campfire.
