China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) introduced Guizhou province to diplomats from 120 countries at the Golorful Guizhou, Global Vision on Tuesday.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended event and pointed out the inland province has played an important role historically in China’s opening-up and development process.
Wang said that Guizhou was an important trade link between China and other countries along the Southern Silk Road and Tea and Horse Road.
Chen Miner, secretary of Gansu Provincial Party Committee, said Guizhou’s vivid ethnic cultures and unique natural ecology has garnered worldwide attention.
The province has been approved to construct a national eco-friendly pilot zone, big data pilot zone and inland opening-up economic pilot zone. In the process of Guizhou’s development into an all-round moderately prosperous society, it will make more efforts to create a good business environment to attract more investment.
Diplomats including Jean-Jacques de Dardel, Swiss Ambassador to China also made speeches in the event.
