Southwest China's Guizhou province and multinational conglomerate, Samsung, will work together on big data information and healthcare, according to a cooperation agreement signed in Suwon city in South Korea on April 21.

Chen Min'er, Guizhou's Party chief, said at the signing ceremony that the cooperation between Guizhou and Samsung will create more possibilities for both parties in the area of big data information and healthcare industries. Guizhou has been selected by the national government as the big data pilot zone, and Samsung is strong in brand building, technology and marketing.

Kwon Oh-hyun, vice president of Samsung, said Guizhou's development strategy is compatible with Samsung's, therefore their cooperation would be promising. The company plans to expand its market share in the western part of China and win customers and partners' trust in the following years. Kwon also suggested the two sides promote exchanges in more fields, including culture and innovation.
