As much as 227 million yuan ($36.3 million) will be invested into the telemedicine projects, covering 61 hospitals at provincial, city and county levels.

The People's Liberation Army General Hospital and Guizhou province has jointly implemented a series of telemedicine pilot projects to share quality medical resources nationwide.

Provincial specialists will provide technical guidance to medical workers through real-time video. This telecommunication will save patients' money and time while supplying them with quality medical services.

A support platform for the People's Liberation Army General Hospital, Guizhou tertiary hospitals, county-level hospitals and community health service centers has already been completed, which will serve as a telemedicine management and service information platform and guarantee medical services run smoothly.

Also, patients can consult medical experts remotely as their physical information, such as blood pressure, can be sent to medical professionals daily via telemedicine equipment.
