A fire destroyed 28 houses in an ethnic Dong village in Liping county. No one was killed in the July 6 blaze, Xinhua News Agency reported on Tuesday. The 157 villagers of the 28 affected households moved into the village's school or in with relatives, and they received 100 quilts and 1,500 kg of rice from the government. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
