Updated: 2010-11-03

The Cross-Straits E-commerce industry base will be located in the Straits Finance and Business District in Fuzhou, according to the Taijing District Government in Fuzhou on Nov. 1 this year.

To cover 20,000 square meters and with 0.18 billion yuan of investment, this base will be the first one ever to specialize in E-commerce in the western part of the Straits and is scheduled to be put on the list of “the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015)” of Fujian province, which aims to build a digital Fujian. “The 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015)” is the twelfth development plan for Fujian during the year of 2011 to 2015, which aims to set goals for the years to come.

Triggered by the ECFA (Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement) and taking advantage of its unique location, this program will contribute to build up a platform for cooperation across the Straits and establish several centers on the E-commerce chain. The conduction will help the process of updating the modern hospitality industry and innovate reforms together with the development of the E-commerce industry, which tends to create win-win situations across the Straits.

E-commerce industry and modern hospitality industry will be the focus of the region and research in both fields will be carried out. Preferential policies and complete infrastructure will be offered in order to save this project.
